CS427 Project Presentations
CS427 Mobile Communications students present their projects on 15th November 2014. The projects involved applying tools and techniques in mobile communications to real world problems in the South Pacific region. The projects compromised of software engineering and research projects. Dr. Nicholas Rollings from School of Geography, Earth Science and Environment was the Chief Guest at the event who commended the project ideas that were mainly for the needs of the Pacific region.

IS314 Project Presentations
Students presented their project for IS314 IT project to an interested audience from academia and industry. Under supervision of course coordinator Dr. Rohitash Chandra more than 10 project in the area of mobile computing, social media, and e-learning were presented by our 300 level students. CS427 Project Presentations
Students from CS427, Mobile Communications gave their final project presentations on 14th November in Teaching Lab 3 of the Japan-Pacific ICT Centre. The presentation was opened by HOS, Prof Ansgar Fehnker who mentioned that similar event will be planned for the entire school next year. A short seminar on “Pacific Consciousness for Software Engineering” was given by Dr. Rohitash Chandra who is also the course lecturer. The seminar focused on Pacific consciousness that can be used as the themes in software engineering projects at the university. The themes/topics include, climate change, environmental informatics, health informatics, software for government departments, non-profit organsations, electronic policing and software for the preservation of pacific art and culture.
