The South Pacific ComputerSociety (SPaCS) was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization with the aim of creating ICT awareness, and advancing ICT practices in Fiji and the South Pacific region. The society has grown over the years not only in terms of membership base and activities, but also in its reach towards international recognition. SPaCS is a full member of the South East Asia Computer Confederation (SEARCC) and an accredited At-Large Structure of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). SPaCSorganizes activities such as seminars for general public on the awareness of latest trends in the ICT industry, computer quiz to stimulate the minds of high school students, and workshops on ICT tools and development environments for its members.
